Join The Network

Thank you for your interest in joining the Noncorporate Radio Network, dedicated to the progression of independent radio both terrestrial and internet. Before you join, remember that we are not just a directory to list your station in. We are a community of independent broadcasters working to build and promote the hard work that we have put into each of our stations. We work with each other to assist members (and even non-members) with technical, promotional, and financial issues. Everyone is encouraged to contribute and participate to pass along knowledge to other potential broadcasters.

Independent broadcasters from all mediums are welcome to join: internet, satellite, short wave, terrestrial (part 15, low power, full power). Broadcasters with any kind of format are welcome to join. We believe in helping you to develop the general operation of your station, not the content of your station.

Requirements to Join

1. Be an independent broadcaster, not affiliated or participating in a large commercial corporation, media conglomerate, or similar.

2. Be a legally licensed (royalty paying) broadcaster which meet your countries’ laws and regulations. (Not sure what this means? Please contact us and we can review this with you).

3. Run a non-commercial station…only accepting donations and underwriting as your source of income for the station.

4. Be open and respectful to other people’s thoughts and ideas. Remember, we are not here to help shape the content of a station..but the general aspects of a station’s operation.

5. Membership is free.

Benefits of Being a Member

1. Access to other volunteer broadcasting professionals for assistance with any aspect of starting and/or maintaining your station.

2. Being listed in the Noncorporate Radio Network directory…providing listeners with information on your station, how to tune in, and a direct link to your site.

3. Having an opportunity to publish upcoming events, commentary, etc. through The Noncorporate Radio Network’s blog.

4. Knowing that you are apart of a grassroots movement to promote and nurture independent broadcasters to their fullest potential.

5. [Future...] Once developed, access to network only resources (such as a national weather forecast, specials, etc.)

6. [Future...] Once developed, a shared donation system for underwriters who believe in our cause to use to donate to all stations at once.

7. [Future..] Other cool features as we think of them!

Application to Join

Once you have read of all of the stuff above, please fill out the form below. Your application will take up to 100 years to be reviewed (well, not really). We will contact you ASAP regarding your status.
